Yes. We have written, arranged and produced the music, to many lyrics that people have written themselves and sent to us. We can help with your lyric writing as well.
For more details, click here for our song production page.
Have a listen to our portfolio. We also have a youtube channel where you can look round the studio and see us in action.
For writing music, we do a basic package – see the song production page.
For recording, we don’t have an hourly rate because what we do is as varied as the artists we have in.
A singer songwriter who is a talented performer, and just wants to record their vocals with an acoustic guitar, potentially can get a number of songs done in one day.
Whereas, recording a 10 piece worship group of varying abilities, is much more complex because of all the mic-ing up of instruments, setting up monitor mixes for everyone, and level checking, which clearly takes a lot more time before getting to the point of hitting the RECORD button. Afterwards, it takes much longer to edit and mix down.
How to get a price: We need to know things like how many instruments and singers there will be. How many songs, what kind of style your music is and so on. The quickest way to get numbers is to Whatsapp us.
Yes, our Christian clients already get cheaper rates compared with our secular clients.
We are also prepared to cut deals on bulk work depending on how many songs you want to record.
There are always compromises to be found. The beauty of modern digital recording means you don’t have to do everything at once. You can start with a basic framework at a basic price and still come away with a great sounding song, and come back at a later date, to add or change things as much as you like, when you have the budget for that.
By train from London Euston it takes less than 2 hours to get to us. Off peak return tickets, bought at short notice are currently around £80-100 (as of May 2022). Obviously, booking tickets further in advance brings bigger savings.
Yes. Most of our equipment can be loaded into the back of a car (or van) and we can come to you. We have done studio recordings in churches, halls, other studios and practice rooms all over the place and with Matt’s extensive live recording experience, we get good results too.
We are based South of Manchester and are served well by transport links. We are 15 minutes from the motorway network, and 3 miles from the nearest train station.
Yes. There is plenty of parking available, and if you need to unload anything, can bring your vehicle right up to the door.
Onsite we have basic cooking facilities – a combi-oven/microwave, so you can cook/grill/microwave anything you bring youself, that would fit inside an average microwave, and we also have a kettle and fridge.
Nearby, there is a gastropub and within walking distance a fuel station mini mart that sells sandwiches, snacks, and a lot of the basics. We can also order in.
We’re very flexible. We don’t mind evenings or weekends, we don’t like to work Sundays obviously, but will accommodate it as necessary. We appreciate customers might not have a choice about when they have free time to come down.
Yes. There are several hotels, B&Bs and guesthouses nearby. From the ubiquitous Travelodge to 4* hotels.
Yes. We know many ridiculously good musicians who can play everything from the Accordian, to the Zither. They will charge their own personal rates, and these vary.
Yes. If you live local to South Manchester, we are happy to have a couple of students in when time allows, for a few days. At least 2 of us have current CRB checks/certificates, copies available on request. Email us.
Also, we are a small team (4-5 people), so try emailing Cross Rhythms as well, they take anything upto 15 students at a time.
